I reached out regarding Permit #24-01940 – Fire Alarm. This project was originally permitted approximately two years ago, and during the course of the work it was discovered that the elevator is not a typical traction elevator as initially assumed. Instead, it is an MRL elevator, with the motor located at the top of the hoistway and sprinklers located at the bottom. Additionally, there are existing smoke and heat detectors installed at the top of the hoistway.
With this updated information, we are submitting a new set of plans and data sheets (merged as a single file) reflecting all necessary changes under the same permit number, as advised by your representative.
We kindly request an expedited review, as the inspection is currently pushed for next week.
