Station 54 was built in 2004 to provide fire protection to the east side of the Fire District. This station has a community room, a tornado warning siren to alert the surrounding community, and a 12,000-gallon cistern for firefighting. Currently, there is a minimum of a Company Officer, Engineer and a Firefighter on duty every day. Station 54 houses an Engine, Tender, Brush truck and a regional Haz-Mat response truck.
Each fire station within the Fire District has a Captain assigned to it, they are responsible for the station. Captain Brad Cogburn is assigned to Station 54. Captain Cogburn has been with the Fire District since 2004. He held the rank of Career Firefighter/EMT, Engineer, Lieutenant before his promotion to Captain in 2022. His duties include being the Haz-Mat coordinator.
