Wildland / Urban Interface
Brighton Fire Rescue District’s Wildland Team consists of 12 firefighters who are specially trained in Wildland Fire Firefighting and Urban Interface. When requested, the team will respond to assist other agencies locally, regionally, statewide, or nationally for wildland fire incidents.
While the primary expectation of the Wildland Team is to respond to and prepare for wildland fires, wildland firefighters also spend a considerable amount of time training with partner agencies on wildfire strategies.
